Choosing a venue is the single biggest decision in event planning — it shapes the date, the guest list, the catering, the aesthetic, and the budget. Get it right and everything else falls into place.

Start with three non-negotiables: capacity (with comfortable margin), date availability, and total venue spend including taxes and service fees. Everything else is preference.

Then layer in the experiential filters: light, parking, accessibility, sound restrictions, and the venue's relationship with your preferred vendors.
